Photovoltaic Panel Cleaning

A move toward sustainability has led to the replacement of fossil fuels with renewable energy sources. Solar panels, also known as photovoltaic panels, harvest sun energy and convert it into electricity, which can be used cost-effectively both in urban and rural areas to meet domestic energy requirements.

In a noticeable portion of the market, solar panels have been installed on roofs, balconies, and garages. The efficiency of solar panels decreases when dust, sand, and dirt accumulate, preventing sun rays from reaching them. Consequently, cleaning interventions must be performed periodically. The panels located on balconies and garages may seem easy to clean, but the roof panels are more challenging and should be handled by a professional.

As a leading solar panel cleaning firm, Edil Technology prides itself on providing prompt, professional, and affordable cleaning services. Our operators rely on double/half safety ropes to assure their safety and optimize their technique. The quality of the cleaning intervention is also ensured by certifying the photovoltaic system's efficiency prior and after our intervention.

24.1. Photovoltaic Panel Cleaning Steps

24.1.1. Preliminary Inspection:

An extensive inspection is conducted in order to determine the extent of the dust problem, to decide the most effective technique, and to plan the intervention.

24.1.2. Cleaning:

As long as the work conditions are dry, our operators will remove the dust accumulated.

24.1.2.1. Low-pressure water wash

It is possible to easily clean dust that has accumulated over time using specialised water brushes that allow water to flow through.

24.1.2.2. Detergent:

In order to dissolve any remaining stains, dirt, and limescale, water mixed with mild biodegradable detergent is used to make a cleansing agent that reduces adhesion forces and cleans the area.

24.1.3. Deep Cleaning:
