Securing Balconies

The external house elements, in particular the balconies, deteriorate as a result of ageing and weather conditions (water/snow, fluctuating temperatures, humidity, and wind). Among all deteriorating agents, water is the one that causes the most intractable effects, since it can penetrate and spread through every corner of the building, causing materials to detach and resulting in structural damage including faded colours, damaged plaster, peeled paints, broken elements, and eroded metals and cornices.

Our rope-mounted technicians and operators can resolve any balcony issue. In the event that your balcony has become unsafe or unusable, we can quickly intervene to restore its safety and aesthetic value without the need to erect expensive scaffolding to do so.

Securing a balcony: steps to follow

29.1.1. Removing the crumbling and detaching elements as a preliminary step:

Ensure that your structures are cleaned (brush rusty metal parts, cracks in concrete, and/or broken masonry).

29.1.2. Pilot Treatment:

A small pilot area should be treated using the correct treatment method (brushing the irons with anti-rust products, applying pre-mixed fibre-reinforced mortars, and applying a finishing layer with high-quality products).

29.1.3. Full Treatment:

It is recommended that the treatment be applied to the entire corroded region.

29.1.4. Finish:

Make sure the finishing products you use are of high quality.
